Suspend services

This action allows you to suspend current services in inventory. There are many reasons why you might have to suspend one of the services assigned to you: vacation, a leave of absence, or any other changes in where you work in your company.

Suspend a service:

  1. Click Actions beside the entry for the service that you want to suspend.
  2. Select Suspend.
  3. Read the instruction, click Continue.
  4. Enter comments, if needed.
  5. Click the calendar and select the date the suspension needs to be completed by (this is a mandatory field).
  6. Select the Acknowledgment statement.
  7. Click Continue. A confirmation message appears.
  8. Click Close to exit.

Select an approver:

Your build of Cimpl may be configured to allow you to select an approver or multiple approvers for self-service actions.

  1. Click on + Approver. A list of users who can serve as approval authorities opens.
  2. Click on the name of the person who you want to select as an approver. Your selection appears in the self-service form.
  3. Repeat the approver selection step for as many approvers as is required.
  4. Once you have selected all the approvers needed, click Confirm. A summary page for the request opens.
